If my life could be graphed on a rectangular coordinate system, there is only one thing that would actually be graph-able with any continuity at all….knowledge is inversely proportionate to age. I know less now than I knew when I was a teenager. In fact…the only knowledge that I seem to be gaining is a knowledge that I know very little.
There are two very old world view questions that I am frankly tired of hearing. The first being, “What can I know,” and second, “How can I know?” Continue reading here:

Peace???Justice???
"All who affirm the use of violence admit it is only a means to achieve justice and peace. But peace and justice are nonviolence...the final end of history. Those who abandon nonviolence have no sense of history. Rather they are bypassing history, freezing history, betraying history." - Andre Trocme

"Waiting On The World To Change"
Me and all my friends
We're all misunderstood
They say we stand for nothing and
There's no way we ever could
Now we see everything that's going wrong
With the world and those who lead it
We just feel like we don't have the means
To rise above and beat it
So we keep waiting
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change
It's hard to beat the system
When we're standing at a distance
So we keep waiting
Waiting on the world to change
Now if we had the power
To bring our neighbors home from war
They would have never missed a Christmas
No more ribbons on their door
And when you trust your television
What you get is what you got
Cause when they own the information, oh
They can bend it all they want
That's why we're waiting
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change
It's not that we don't care,
We just know that the fight ain't fair
So we keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change
And we're still waiting
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting waiting on the world to change
One day our generation
Is gonna rule the population
So we keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change
I find the lyrics to this song that hit the pop world several years ago to be quite intriguing (though I’m far from being intrigued by the pop world). Outside of the fact that every generation believes themselves to be the generation of change, this song references the Information Age, Empire, War, and death…but we’re just waiting….waiting on the world to change. Somehow John Mayer, the writer of this song, despite popular progressivism, has made little progress beyond John Lenin or Simon and Garfunkel. Even the world’s greatest celebrities cry out for peace, but that is not enough for…we’re still waiting….waiting on the world to change!

When Jesus doesn't define the God conversation???
How easily we fall into the trap of creating a very manageable God! The devotions this morning focused on Jesus and I was reminded of a recent blog I read. Continue reading on this subject here:
